Thamar University Holds its Seventh Academic Council Meeting and Approves a Number of Academic Decisions

■ Thamar University held its seventh Academic Council meeting this morning, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the University Rector and Council Chairman, and attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, as well as the other council members a Number of Academic Decisions

This meeting was a part of the regular monitoring of academic progress. The Council began its agenda by reading and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
The Council discussed several academic topics on the agenda, primarily settlement, promotion, and appointment files. These were reviewed according to the approved regulations and academic merit criteria, including appointments in the College of Agriculture, according to the announcement published in the official newspaper and the selection criteria.
The council also approved new programs in the faculties of medical sciences, administrative sciences and engineering, in a step that reflects the university’s orientation towards a well-thought-out qualitative expansion, and responding to the requirements of the labor market and the needs of development, by developing the program structure and updating its outputs to keep pace with scientific and professional transformations.
