Thamar University launches a project to inventory the libraries of Medicine and Dentistry to reactivate their scientific role

■ Thamar University launched today Saturday a project to inventory the libraries of the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry, in the presence of the Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, and in the presence of his Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, and the Head of the Libraries Department, Dr. Essam Wasil, and the General Secretary of the College of Dentistry, in addition to the staff of the Central Library and a number of those concerned in the two colleges and representatives of financial affairs and the relevant units at the university.
 
In his speech during the inauguration, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi stressed the importance of this project, which comes from being part of the efforts to reactivate the role of university libraries and enhance their position as scientific and research centers that contribute to supporting the educational and research process. 
 
Prof. Dr. Al-Haifi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Libraries Department and its leaders in launching this initiative, stressing the need to give medical libraries sufficient attention, whether in terms of updating paper content or enhancing electronic infrastructure in line with scientific and technological developments in the field of medicine and dentistry. 
 
This project comes within the framework of Thamar University's efforts to enhance its academic and research position and support its medical colleges to be at the forefront of educational institutions that provide distinguished medical education.
 
It is expected that the inventory process will contribute to updating medical libraries and providing advanced scientific sources that contribute to enriching the educational and research process.
