Thamar University launches Competitive Exams to Compete for 60 teaching Assistant Positions in Various Specializations

□ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, launched today the competitive exams for 108 distinguished teaching assistants from various undergraduate batches and those with specific specializations, who are competing for the academic degrees allocated to teaching assistants at the University.
 
This step comes within the framework of announcing vacancies for the announced academic positions for the academic year 1446.
 
During his inspection tour of the examination center held in the College of Computers, Dr. Al-Haifi indicated that 108 competitors applied to fill the position of teaching assistant that was announced, which includes 60 academic job positions allocated to teaching assistants from various colleges and scientific departments at the University.
 
He stressed the University's commitment to selecting the most competent and best among the competitors, emphasizing the need for applicants for faculty assistant positions to undergo accurate and strict examinations that include their specializations and skills in the Arabic and English languages, personal and practical interview examinations, and the rest of the evaluations of grades by specialized committees in accordance with the Yemeni Universities Law and its executive regulations.
 
He also explained that the University takes into consideration distinguished teaching assistants and top batches, especially University graduates who have worked as volunteers for many years, and the University aims through this step to ensure that the job grade is provided to the winners immediately after they receive employment decisions, while postponing the financial impact until the grades are lowered and the reinforcement is issued by the Ministry of Finance.
 
From his part, the University's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, confirmed that applicants from various Yemeni and Arab Universities and from various Yemeni governorates took part in a competitive exam aimed at differentiating and distinguishing between the most competent, most capable, and most experienced. Preference is given to those with high grades in specialized subjects.
 
Dr. Al-Ansi explained that all applicants are distinguished and top of their batches, but the University is keen to choose the best among them. If the differentiation criteria are not met in any specialty, which is achieving at least 70% of the grades, the University may be forced to re-announce and reopen the competition in that specialty again in accordance with the Yemeni Universities Law and its executive regulations.
 
The inauguration of the exams was attended by the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Bashir Al-Maqalih, the General Director of Academic Affairs, the Director of the Department of Academic Affairs, the Director of the Department of Faculty Members, and a number of specialists at the University.
