■ As a part of Thamar University's preparations for the second semester, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the University Rector, chaired a comprehensive meeting this morning at the Faculty of Medicine.
 
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, the Deputy Dean of the Center, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the University General Secretary,Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, the Dean of the Faculty, the Vice Deans and Heads of Departments, as well as a number of directors general and specialists from the university.
 
The meeting was held to discuss plans for the second semester and review the college's academic and administrative readiness, as well as to explore mechanisms for enhancing professional discipline and ensuring the smooth operation of the educational process in accordance with approved institutional standards.
 
During the meeting, the University Rector commended the outstanding performance of the college's leadership and its academic and administrative staff.
 
The Rector of the University concluded the meeting by emphasizing the need to redouble efforts in the coming period to ensure a well-organized start to the second semester and to achieve the university's objectives. He called for strengthening cooperation and integration among the various university units to serve its mission, in line with the policies of the ministries directly involved in implementing the university's plans and the higher government educational plans.
 
In a related context, the University Rector held a similar meeting at the College of Medical Sciences, attended by the college dean, Dr. Adel Emran, his deputies, and the heads of the academic departments. During this meeting, the academic and administrative plans for the second semester were discussed, along with mechanisms for monitoring professional performance and developing the academic and administrative work environment at the college.
 
During the second meeting, the University Rector emphasized that the next phase requires a high level of commitment and responsible discipline commensurate with the responsibility placed upon the medical colleges. He stressed that the smooth operation of the educational process is a crucial indicator for measuring the efficiency of university performance and achieving the desired standards of quality and academic accreditation.
