■ Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, along with his deputy, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, launched the admission and competitive examinations this morning at the College of Medicine for 581 high school graduates competing for 60 seats at the College of Medicine, ranked first in academic accreditation among Yemeni universities. The examinations were conducted in eight examination committees distributed across two centers at the College of Medicine and one at the College of Dentistry.

The University Rector delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he welcomed the students competing for seats at Thamar University and expressed his pride in the vitality of this academic scene. He praised the significant organizational efforts made by the Office of Student Affairs and the College of Medicine, emphasizing that the exams are conducted in a transparent environment that ensures equal opportunities for all applicants and that the student determines his or her future through their performance in the 100% automated competitive exam.

The University's Vice-Rector for student affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, explained that the matching and sorting processes are carried out with high professionalism and precision. He noted that the marking and comparison processes are carried out automatically and without human intervention, within a precise system that ensures complete fairness for all.

From his part, the dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, welcomed the students taking the exams, describing them as some of the best high school graduates. He emphasized that the college's 60 seats will be awarded to the most deserving, while opportunities for admission through private funding remain available.

The exam was also attended by a number of university and College of Medicine leaders, including Dr. Adel Emran, the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, the Consultant to the University Rector for Cultural Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mujahid, the General Secretary of the College of Medicine, and the University Student Forum official and its members. Academic and administrative teams actively participated in the organization, ensuring the efficient running of this pivotal event.

In a move that reflects the speed of performance and the transparency of procedures, Thamar University announced the preliminary results of the parallel system for the College of Medicine seats, just hours after the exams ended.

The University commended the tremendous efforts of the working teams from the Student Affairs Office and the College of Medicine, who completed this process in record time and with the utmost precision.
